Cracker Barrel Leaders

The Cracker Barrel session has a leader who guides the group in a discussion concerning their area of expertise.  This helps to determine what other schools are doing, shares information, guidelines, and promotes networking.  There are generally five Cracker Barrel sessions (see below).  The Conference Chair and/or Co-chair contacts an individual in each area to serve as the leader.

1. Sessions:
  a. Admissions
  b. School Relations
  c. Registration
  d. Records
  e. Graduation

Responsibilities:

2. Prior to Conference:
  a. List a few ideas regarding concerns in your area (for example:  Admissions  could discuss State Residency items, FERPA, SPEEDE, various fees, deadlines, policies, Electronic Applications, etc.).

3. During Conference:
  a. Call session to order and welcome attendees.
  b. Have introductions of attendees.
  c. Ask for any concerns they would like to discuss.
  d. If conversation slows down then bring up the concerns you have previously compiled.
  e. Distribute and collect evaluation forms and submit to Conference Chair.
  f. Thank all for participation
