    The Associate Registrar for Academic Operations provides strategic direction, program development and assessment for assigned areas. This position maintains primary responsibility for Registration, Academic Scheduling, and the Registrar’s Solution Center student navigation and support area. This position is responsible for semesterly registration configuration in the student information system, including term setup, waitlists, administrative drops, creation of the master calendar, and other related registration tasks. The Associate Registrar for Academic Operations supervises the Assistant Registrar for Academic Scheduling and a full-time Enrollment Specialist who leads the Registrar’s Solution Center. As a member of the Registrar’s Leadership team, this position serves on committees at the division and institutional level, cross-trains on office duties, and completes special projects as assigned. This position is responsible for system maintenance, testing, and enhancement for assigned areas, including frequent collaboration with IT.

    Under minimal supervision of the Director of Admissions, position serves as primary contact for perspective students applying for admissions to Salt Lake Community College (SLCC). Responsible for answering and expediting basic admissions questions, quick residency, admissions refunds and resolving student questions. Develop a course of action for capturing student lead information which will enable Admissions staff to follow up with perspective students. Provide consultation, guidance, referral and advocacy service for perspective students. This position requires a proven record of excellent interpersonal communication, knowledge of admissions and recruitment practices, ability to synthesize and take action on complex situations and information, and the skills to professionally represent the college to all students. Hire, train, supervise all part time employees. Serve as an Admissions Office Manager at the Taylorsville Redwood campus. Oversee all daily functions and services provided in Admissions including supervising employees and scheduling coverage for the Admissions Office Hub.

The candidate will serve as the liaison between Ensign College and BYU-Pathway Worldwide, completing registration/records related functions as it pertains to students completing coursework at Ensign College through BYU-Pathway Worldwide.     Manage and supervise the VA certification unit and the certification process for military benefits, ensuring accurate and timely submission to the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA). Advise student Veterans, their families and dependents of their rights under military service benefits acts and other relevant legislation. Serve as lead School Certifying Official (SCO); maintain compliance with state and federal regulations governing the application of military-connected education benefits. Serves as University liaison; provides accurate information to student veterans, dependents, and university and VA officials. Facilitates collaborative relationships with departments campus wide to ensure quality of service and compliance with the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs. Hires, trains, and supervises one or more direct reports, ensuring team members’ competency and effectiveness.

This position will ensure the continuity and quality of all transfer recruitment efforts aimed at attracting and enrolling new transfer students to the University of Utah. Integral to this role is ensuring superior levels of customer service, and fostering seamless interactions between prospective transfer students, university departments, and various stakeholders.
